Tewkesbury Chamber Choir is a small mixed voice choir which sings a huge variety of music from Byrd to the Beatles. Our aim is to have fun but at the same time produce good quality music.

 


Our repertoire includes music by Byrd, Tallis, Farrant, Morely, Mozart, Vivaldi, Bach, Schubert, John Rutter, Howard Goodall, Bob Chilcott, George and Ira Gershwin, Joe Garland, Irving Berlin, Rogers & Hammerstein, Frank Loesser, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Fats Waller, Harry Brooks, Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein and many more.

The choir will be opening the Bushley Village Open Gardens weekend with a concert in the church on the evening of Friday June 15th 2012 starting at 7.30pm. Come and enjoy some of the choir's favourite pieces including a host of new material spanning the centuries.
We are taking part in the Gloucestershire Brass Bands Association 75th Anniversary celebration event on the 7th July 2012. Will be singing at 3pm.


Recent events:

On Wednesday 28th December the choir held a traditional carol service at St. Joseph's in Tewkesbury with a mixture of congregational carols, readings and choir carols.

 

 

On Saturday 17th September 2011 we took part in a concert at St. Peter's High School, Gloucester organised by Gloucestershire Life and helped them to raise around £1000.

Our concert on the 3rd September 2011 in Apperley Church was in aid of the "Open To The Future" project supporting Deerhurst Priory.

Boddington Church was the venue for our first summer concert of 2011 where we raised around £250 for essential building works.
